So what is required from an electrical point of view when semi-permanently removing the passenger seat?
thanks

Semi-permanently? These cars have no airbags in the seats. I would pull the seat fuse. Other than that.... what is the intended use?

I want to pull the seat out and make a low platform for the hound...
Really? Just pull the fuse and everything will be ok?

Does anyone have a pdf copy of the fuse diagram which is on the inside cover of the fuse box?
I believe there are seat heating fuses and seat motor fuses.... not sure which are for the passenger seat or even
if the two seats are using the same fuse.
I want to disable all electrical functions for the passenger seat only, not the drivers seat- not sure this is even possible.
Need the motors and heat for the drivers seat..
thanks!

Not sure about the seat heat but the passenger and drivers seats are on independent circuits in the fuse box. I didn't have heat in my seats but when I did the swap, it only took 1 fuse. From the lid on my fuse box, it looks like drivers seat is 30A fuse #8 and passenger set is 30A fuse #6. I didn't see anything for heat. My advice would be to pull the seat fuse and make sure seat heat isn't getting power with ignition on with a meter to be safe.

You will need someone to do some coding related to the seat weight sensor and airbags on that side.
Or maybe not on 993. I'm thinking about my 987 track car. Worth looking into.

From what I can gather, it seems you just plug the harness and pull the bulb from the clock that illuminates the warning lamp-
That leaves the airbag functional, but unnecessary for my use- in case of an accident, the unnecessary discharge of the passenger bag
might be the least of my worries....
