Hi guys
Any differences on the 993 vs 993 S? I keep hearing that 18" rims are hard to get right on the 993, but the 993S had 18", any differences in the suspension? anti sway bars? Alignment? Ride height? Etc?
Thanks

No difference in drivetrain and suspension between the 2S and non-S cars. The 4S has the same drivetrain as the 2S and non-S cars, but it has the Turbo's suspension and brakes.
I'm not sure if the ARBs are different among the non-S, 2S, and 4S cars. Someone else can chime in on that one. My guess is that the 4S has bigger ARBs since it uses the Turbo suspension.
All the US cars ride higher than the ROW cars.
No problem fitting 18" rims on any of these cars. The widths and offsets are different between the 2/4S cars and the non-S cars due to the wider track of the S cars.

18" wheels (solid spoke twist) were standard equipment on the C4S. 17" Cup II wheels were standard on the C2S (exact same wheels as narrow body cars but fitted with spacers on rear). Hollow spoke 18" "Technology" wheels, as used on the Turbo, were optional on ALL 993s, narrow body and wide body (different offsets on rear wheels, but same dimensions). Only difference in footwear was rear tire size when equipped with 18" wheels: Narrow body cars wore 265/35-18s, wide body got 285/30-18.
ROW C4S came with the stiffer M030 suspension as standard. "Turbo suspension" might be a bit inaccurate as springs are not the same (Turbo weighs more).
All C4S came with the Turbo "big red" brakes as standard equipment.
Engine and transmission were the same spec as their narrow body equivilants.
