Default Anyone have an old seat switch for parts available?

Hello -

When I was cleaning the contact points on one of my seat switches, the center spring (under the brass center pin) decided to take a free lance tour of my garage only to never be found again.

It seems silly to buy a new switch when all I need is the tiny small spring. It is not available as a separate item.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks you.

Regards,

Al

Don't sacrifice a working one for me. Someone must have a broken or non-functioning unit available to scavenge.....

Thank you.

I think I may have one that I replaced last year. I'll check and get back to you.

Cemoto,
I have the guts from a 4 way seat switch. I kept the parts figuring one day I'd do exactly what you did....haha!

Do you need the tiny spring (1.5x5mm) or the one the width of the ball bearings (4x12mm)? From your description you want the baby spring I think. Anything else you need from the switch?

Let me know and then shoot me a PM w an address and I can get it in the mail tomorrow.

Thank you Keith,

Yes, it is the smaller center spring, not the ball bearing one. The pin I was able to find.

PM sent.

Best Regards,

Al

Thanks for bailing me out Keith.

Spring is installed and the switch is back in working order.

Well wishes sent your way!

Best Regards,

Al
