These are now standard issue for the Hey Wait For Me Racing Team.
Only we fill ours with solid lead. Not soft drinks.
(A few of our team mates have missed podiums for being underwieght.)

Actually, I got to stand on one this weekend. But only because they posted our practice session times on the wall right above it...

Mark,
Did you sell the white C2S to a Rennlister? I almost bought that car the day before you did.

Bummer is, he may be moving and may have to sell it. Not a lot of good roads in Bermuda.

Forgive me for saying this but that cupholder has got to be the biggest waste of money for several reasons:
1. It seems to only fit a can, so Starbuck's cups will have to go somewhere else
2. Wouldn't your elbows rub against it? The cockpit's tight enough for broad shouldered people
3. Probably the most important reason, have you tried putting a coke can in the open slot in front of the door handle (to the right of your picture)? It is a *perfect* fit and there is just enough pressure to wedge the can in there so that it will not tilt during braking and acceleration (can say about the contents not spilling out tho) I've also managed to squeeze in a coffee cup although I usually make sure that the cup is only 3/4 full
Having said that, it appears that your door may not have the pocket I mentioned (mine's a '95). Still, I would get the VW cupholder that can handle two drinks and is out of the way.
