Oil Cooler Fan Start Temperature?
Hello,
Does anyone with a 993 shop manual know what the starting temperature is for the oil cooler fan in slow-speed?
The 964 manual specifies 100C = 212F for slow-speed, and 115C = 239F for fast-speed. But, I seem to remember someone posting once that the 993's oil cooler fan slow-speed set-point is 230F. Which makes me wonder if the set-point was bumped up sometime in the 964 run or early in the 993 run?
Along these lines, Bruce Anderson writes in his Performance Handbook that the set-point for the Carrera's fan is 244F! I don't think any of us would be comfortable with our oil running this hot.
