Default Alignment and corner balance results after BilsteinHD/ROW M030

The following are my alignment and corner balance results after installing Bilstein HD shocks and ROW M030 springs purchased from GERT. Had the alignment done as close to RS specs. as possible. Corner balance was done with 175lbs of weight in the driver seat and Porsche had a full tank of gas.

Any comments or suggestions would be welcomed?

Just curious... why did you fill the tank completely? Wouldn't a half-filled tank be a better representation of the normal load?

Gas tank was full so the min. ride height could be set with max. weight on the front end. I agree this isn't likely the best for corner balance.

If I may ask, what is your ride height after your HD/M030 installation?

Why did they set the front ride height so low relative to the front? The normal rake angle for the 993 would yield about a half inch higher reading in the front compared to the rear. You have a 1/16 of an inch on one side, and only a 1/8 inch on the other?

Bob,

The shop claimed to set the ride height to 0 degree frame rake. If you review the US factory ride height specs. it's not clear if the factory settings have a 1/2" rake from front to rear built-in.

US front is 174mm and 157mm, but Euro standard (not M030) is 154mm and 147mm. Note that the drop is 20mm front and 10mm rear. This would eliminate 10mm (~3/8 inch) of the rake.

The Euro M030 is 157mm and 127mm, which is 30mm drop from US factory both front and rear. This would suggest same 1/2" rake as you point out.

I guess the Euro M030 would be the best setting?

Bill
