Does your conversion have a blue vinyl interior? That car looks damn familiar almost like one a friend Mike at ByDesign had back in the '90s..
I also see your in the valley 818 , My sis lives in Sherman Oaks just south of Ventura Blvd,
back in the day lots of middies and '80s chassis were done in this manner only the best
would still survive today, Bert.
Just noticed shaved rain gutters as well ...cool upgrade of the times...haha

Hey guys new to rennlist, been reffered here by one of my customers thats has a few porsches. Im building a unique project so I thought to share and get ideas from some fellow enthusiasts.
I know this isn't uncommon but time to put a v8 in my porsche![burnout](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/burnout.gif)
I have a 1975 Carrera that is rebodied 1 for 1 to a late 90's turbo 993
I picked her up for with the conversion and am in the process of taking her apart inside out to rebuild the way I want it done.

You stumbled in the an amazing treasure trove of 993 knowledge, from shade tree mechanics to full Pro engine builders.
Just be warned that the lot tends to be a bit more purist than the "go for it, mod'er" types. "We" like our mods, but nice, reversible stuff. It would have been a dog-pile had you suggested throwing a V8 into a true 993.....and these days with 993 pricing you'd be a bit more than the normal nuts to do it if that were the case.
Do some searching (see link at bottom of my post for help) and you'll find a couple of engine swap or replacement threads....but not a lot. You will do a lot of custom fabrication and end up with a car that you can never sell for anything near what you've got into it, nor what it would bring in a stock form. As well, it will take you many months/years to sell, since any buyer would have to be another "project" type. But I'm sure you know this already. Carry on with enthusiasm and enjoy the project!

Thanks for the kind words!! I figured this was a place with mostly purists especially stumbling on a page where I found people talking about replacing as much as an older sticker under a hood to the same German original one lol... Kinda extreme haha. But ya vision is to have a V8 Porsche even if it isn't a true 993 just to stand out from the crowd. I know my money's going down the drain but it's a car im planning to keep

Wheels....you are riding on one of the best looking wheels available for a 993. Other options: MY02, the new Fuchs, or many more if you want the more custom look and "busier" wheels...that are harder to clean.
