Question Help - Tire Choice

I have the choice of the Bridgestone RE730 or Continental Sport Contact tires with a wheel tire package (17"). Any suggestions?

I would go with RE730. Had Conti before and is still in my wife's M-Benz, HATE them to death. <img src="graemlins/cussing.gif" border="0" alt="[grrrrrrr]" />

Don't know what the weather is like where you are but can vouch for the fact that the Contis SUCK in wet weather. We get a lot of rainfall here in Singapore and although the Contis are one of the few supplied locally in N spec, most p-car owners here shun the Contis cos they are

Had Conti's on my car and could not wait to get rid of them. Currently running 730's (18") and they work great and have lasted 20,000 miles. Mike W

Only downside with 730's is how much longer they will be available. When I was pricing tires about one week ago, TireRack was not pushing 730's because said they were being discontinued. Maybe they wanted to try selling up to SO3's.

Not sure what I will be buying, have Conti's now, and they are better than the Dunlop 8000's that came with the car.

E.J., I bought my first 730 18's about a year ago. I think this is a lot of tire for the money especially when one considers how well they wear. I have not heard that they will be discontinued. I hope that is wrong. I'll call Bridgestone and try to find out. Mike W
