Are 993's pre-wired for CD players?
I have had Audis and Volkswagens that had plugs for the CD decks in the trucks. Do the 993's have the same feature?

Don't know about the trucks (Cayenne)

There is now a DIY on Robin's P-car site that was contributed following a thread I started a couple of weeks ago.
My CDC3 is on order and will be DIY'ed next weekend.

There's no need to drill a hole in the firewall. You can use the existing large grommeted hole for the harness on the driver's side. At least, that's what I did for my changer wire, w/o much difficulty.

My dealer fitted a CD changer in this position recently. Think I'm going to move it below the floor, in the centre of the spare wheel since it looks so vulnerable in the front compartment -- not to mention occupying valuable luggage space.
Was there a reason you mounted yours where you did?
