Post To Roll or not to Roll

I test fit my FM/10s today and unfortunately I am getting quite a bit of rubbing. I have a C4S with 18x9 Front 245/40 Hoosiers and 18x11 Rear 305/30. Actually the clearance on the drivers side is not too bad, I can get a finger in between fender and tire, but the right side of the car is very tight. I think the corner balancing significantly contributed to the rubbing, so at this point I'm not sure whether I want to get into some heavy duty rolling of the fenders or go to 245/35 and 285/30 Hoosiers instead. My camber is 1.75 front and 2 rear. Any suggestions???

On a positive note, I weighed the stock wheels/tires and found the Fikse/Hoosiers saved 42lbs overall. It won't be long and I have this baby down to 3000lbs.

Doug,
Why didn't you go with the 245/35 to begin with? It matches the circumfernce of the 305 closer than the 245/40.

Rolling your fenders should work, or maybe you need to adjust your ride height a bit. If the offsets aren't quite right that could also cause your problems. I run 275's in the front with 305's in the rear, and had to roll my fenders very aggresively, there is hardly a finger between the tire sidewall and the fender.
Good Luck,
Greg

Greg, Actually Fikse recommended this config and they provided the offsets so they should be correct; further looking at Hoosier's specs the 245/35 has a diameter of 24.5", the 245/40 is 25.5", while the 305 is 25.6" and the 285 is 24.6".

Did you use a baseball bat to roll your fenders or a machine? Since the car is not 100% dedicated to the track, I'm not sure whether I want to take a chance on cracking the paint on my fenders.
