DJ - B-Line may be getting more mileage out of his Kuhmos because heat cycle and shaving can increase tire life. Proper heat cycle treatment allows the molecular bonds in the tire to seat properly and prevents the tires from chunking or overheating. From the TireRack website:

"Tire shaving removes tread rubber and reduces tire weight by several pounds. Minimizing tread block squirm also reduces heat buildup and the risk of making the tire go "off" by overheating its tread compound. And in many cases, shaved tires used in competition actually have a longer useful life that tires that begin being run at full tread depth."

Hope this helps to explain your tire wear.

Hey Tom,

I have the widebody so I can't really comment on rubbing. And, my suspension is very stock..

DJ, I'm sorry for not having better info on how much track mileage I am getting out of the tires,
but I can tell you this, it is a considerable amount of time, no question..

I would have to say at least 600 miles at the minimum.. And I would recommend heat cycle and shaving... Like I said, I still have a ton of meat left..

One last thing: Not a bad thing really, just something to note. The Kumho's had incredible grip (although I've never driven Hoosiers so I don't know how good they grip in comparison. I assume not nearly as much but for a DE, I was happy.)
BUT... And this is a big But... It really took a couple laps to get the hot and gooey. The first 2-3 laps the tires were not as stickey as I would have liked.. But once they got hot, couple laps in, they really held up incredibly.
I've heard that Hoosiers start to lose grip towards the end of a session where the Kumho's seemed to continue to increase grip.. I was amazed. I did think it was a little strange that it took 2-3 laps to get them hot at Sebring which is a very long track.
So, in conclusion.. I guess my uneducated tire opinion is:
They don't heat up as fast, nor do they get too hot too fast. End results, very fast laps at the end of session. I guess the compound threshold is much higher than say a hoosier..
Hope this helps..
