Mine started to leak during a DE day. I had to replace it was about $1,900 for the part and had to be ordered in from Germany. At first I was told there were none available and i'd have wait 6-7 weeks but somehow one turned up.

Where is the leak coming from? It could be as simple as a copper seal.

If you need a need a new pump you can get a re-manufactured unit from griffiths for around $700. I bought one from them and it was fine (link below). The prices for these seem to be on the upswing. I paid around $250 a couple years ago. Sunset seems to have them new for $866 (link below).

One thing to keep in mind if you are doing the work yourself: this is a major PITA job with the engine in the car. MUCH easier with the engine out!

(Correction - my repair was $1,900 part + labour)
Vorsicht - literally just reading you Cashmere to Black thread. Was looking for examples of dying the centre console. Great thread!

The Porsche gods must be smiling upon us.

Yes, that sounds better. It's a big labor job. I think I was bleeding from all 10 fingers during that job!

The black seems to be holding up well, although I've only got about 3000 miles since the project. I had some flaking on the repair to the bolster but was able to re-apply some dye. If you are doing a repair make sure it is sanded very smooth.

Cheers, Peter
