Default Clutch Kinematic Level

I know that there has been discussion about this issue before, but I would like your opinion about the long term results of this modification.

The clutch on my '95 993 works fine when performing shifts at high speeds.
Only when parking the car, or shifting smoothly from first to second it doesn't come out fully. When a valet guy who doesn't know of the problem drives my car, I always find the clutch stuck close to the floor.
Also, with the engine off, it makes the familiar sticking clutch sound.

I was talking to the dealer about it and he told me that i will need a new clutch and dual mass flywheel soon ... quoted me around $4000 !
I don't think my clutch disk has gove bad, because there is no loss of power.

Two years ago when I first realized the problem I changed both slave and master cylinders, changed the clutch pump, and fluid of the system. Two months later the problem still existed.

Somebody told me that the clutch bearing might have corroded and that's why the master/slave cylinder fix didn't do much.
I looked at p-car.com and it appears that the only solution is changing the kinematic level.
Is that true ? Is it effective ?

Thanks

$ 4000 for a new clutch and flywheel??? That is a rip off! Try the kinematic lever change - cost effective repair. It works!

Don't ever go to that dealer again. Such incompetent crooks need to be out out of business.

I need to get around to doing this one day. How much is a new kinematic lever?

Thanks for your replies !

I just checked with the parts department (of another dealer, of course) and it costs $100 (they didn't have it and would have to order it for me).

I spoke with the service advisor, and he advised me not order a part before he gets to see the car, because he said that it could also be a pressure plate gone bad. (Another dealer that wants $2800 for clutch replacement)

I don't think that this is the case.
So most probably I will order the clutch level and take the car to the dealer to replace it.

If your clutch is going you will hear it slipping car reving up in high gears as mine is starting to.
Im going to upgrade to a lightweight clutch and flywheel for 1450 euro and do the work myself
I paid around 40 euro +shipping for the kinematic lever from gert
Even though my clutch is almost gone the pedal still returns fully every time

The old and new kinematic levers don't look so different. Why do the new ones work so much better?
