Incredible Porsche 928 DIY project...
Thanks to Robin in Atlanta for bringing this site to my attention. This 928 enthusiast takes performance mods to a new level. Particularly interesting are the adaptation of the 968 Variocam to the 928 cylinder heads along with numerous other impressive mods. The website is loaded with great photos and info. Read the "Modifications" section for starters. All I can say is WOW...

Matt,
Glad you enjoyed the find.
My favorite is the coffe table made out of the 928 block.
It gave me a new project idea.
For years I have been telling people that the Porsche flat 6 motor is a visual master piece of machinery. And it is a shame so little of it sees any day light when installed in the car.
I better get started on my search....

Robin,
The flat-six coffee table is popular in Asia because it only sits 12" off the floor! Much better for sitting on a pillow with crossed legs than the V8 block table which is ideally suited for more traditional living room decor.

This would make a far more interesting coffee table project, I'm sure you'll agree
I don't know about a coffee table, it's more like a piece of art that doubles as an engine

Using that 959 engine to make a coffee table would result in a coffee table that's worth more than the little house I live in.
