Default 993 rs caliper help needed.

My car has gone in for this lot to be fitted. IMAG3866_zpskgjndap8.jpg

Unfortunately the rennlist collective got it wrong when I was told they my 996 turbo calipers would fit my 993rs uprights. The offset is correct but the bolt spacing is 140mm rather than 130mm. My mechanic hates me!
So before I order a new set has anyone got a set they need to sell. UK preferred if possible. Any leads on the best place to buy new greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help, Jim.

If I were considering such mods and setups, the 993 Forum guru of choice IMHO, would have to be Bill Verburg...

I'm sure there are others, but Bill seems to be very active and responsive on the forum while commenting/recommending from his own first hand experiences and what he's learned along the way.

IMHO, he is one of 993 forums' greatest resources.

Unfortunately it was Bill that told me they would fit, I guess he looked at offset and not at bolt spacing as the 996 turbo caliper bolts are 10mm wider spacing. I'd have bought the kit regardless of whether I needed new calipers or not so no harm done just feel a bit of a prat as it's stuck on the ramp at my local Indy until Friday when the new ones arrive. Oh well, guess everyone is allowed an off day!

Bill doesn't remember saying any such thing, I have seen the 996 4 pistons big reds adapted to 993 but have never been involved in such an install and would not recommend it for several reasons
the 996tt wants a 350x34mm rotor, not the 993/964 322x32 would be the first to come to mind. To do this you would need custom 2 piece rotor/annulus

If going to a bigger rotor there are 350 and 380x32 that would be much better choices and would use a different caliper.

You can get around the bolt issue by using a caliper adapter, but you can't get around the rotor issue
