With my mod the fog light switch works, so you can turn the fogs off if desired, or leave the switch on for DRL function.

Great DIY thread about replacing the 993 fog light lens. I found the replacement lenses on www.5150motorsport.com. About $75.00 each + $15.00 shipping. Very responsive company, quick replies to questions. 09.25.2018

3D printed parts would cost a LOT more than the free fog light housings that are already on the car, and you'd have to paint the 3D parts silver, too!
Easier and cheaper to just paint the existing parts.
