Default OBD2 Codes

I have been a big proponent of the OBD2 software for our cars and still am It has helped me on numerous occasions. So just a word of caution. Porsche has different meanings for some of the codes that may be displayed. Nels415 or Nelson recently had CEL which showed a failure of O2 sensor 2 bank 1. We replaced it (and the other side after cat sensor) and his CEL kept coming on with the same message. I just bought a factory OBD2 manual for the 993 and 993TT and when we checked on the code in the book, it had a completely different problem cited for that code.

So just be careful when using some of these diagnostic tools.

Hey Bob,

Guess what? Yep, you guessed it. My CE light came back on again on my way home from your place yesterday. I need to check on those 3 things your OBD2 manual mentioned. So far it's the 5th time it's come back on.
