Question Strut Tower Braces

Anyone using a Strut tower brace?
Is it worthwhile?

It's a good, relatively inexpensive modification. I've noticed an improvement, but NOT with the windshield squeek (I guess I'm not as fortunate as some)

Do archive search and you'll find much discussed on this subject <img src="graemlins/xyxwave.gif" border="0" alt="[bigbye]" />

I put one on my '95 Cab about 3 months ago - I think there is a clear improvement in handling. It also dramatically reduced the window creaking I was experiencing.
BTW - did you ever sell your armrest?
Rick.

I recently acquired a '97 C2. It had a pretty bad windshield creak. Determined to eliminate it, I used both the "teflon rope" trick that I came across on this board and installed a strut tower brace from AJUSA. I'm not sure which cured it (should have taken it for a ride between the two, but I didn't), but it is definitely gone now.

Yes, it is worthwhile. The windshield does not creak as much, and the turn in seems improved.

Recently did my Carrera S coupe with the factory brace - definitely improved turn in, its much more 'chuckable' now.

Cheers, Maurice
