Rough Idle solved
My idle has been rapidly getting worse, despite cleaning the idle stabilizer valve which wasn't particulary dirty. I had the opportunity to bring the car into the shop to fix a weird clunking from the left rear (bad shock), and the Hammer disclosed one of the 3 oxygen sensors was bad. The surprise was the poor condition of both distributor caps, rotors and the Beru plugs. I wouldn't think the caps and rotors would be that bad at 25,000 miles, but this is my first 993.
My mechanic said that he always uses the Bosch plugs, which have 3 electrodes instead of the 2 on the Beru, so that's what we put in. Runs like a train now. I can't wait for the weekend to really get a chance to "test" it.
