The plastic rear spoiler wall for about $100 has to be high on the list.

Price is $76.00 for RH and LH sides. I installed these and they fit and look as OEM.

Are we comparing apples to apples? I haven't seen Invincashield, but the factory stone guards look to be much thicker than other aftermarket clear protection I have seen.

How about $30 for a suspension nut? Granted, it's actually 2 nuts with a small bracket, but $30?

Not the worst, but I thought the "Motorsound" airbox was a joke for $120 after I saw it was the same part with holes in it. Exact same mold made both original and "Motorsound", with Inserts added for the "Motorsound". Of course I returned it and pulled out my drill like 1/2 the people on this board.

Fun thread. But you guys aren't even in the right league. Not that I have one, but I hear parts for the 959 are outrageous. I recall hearing that the waterpumps cost $30K and I read in "911 and Porsche World" a report that the valve stems are $900 each? Something crazy like that...

Be glad you don't drive a Ferrari.... ;-). Friend of mine T-boned a Volvo (the Volvo driver overlooked him coming out of a side road). The parts were not only XX-pensive, they took over a year to deliver and the dealer took about five goes at painting before the factory approved the repair..... I love the 355, but if I had one, I'd NEVER dare drive it.

PS. Unless I could afford two :-)

I have heard guys on the Ferrari list say that Ferrari share a lot of parts with Fiat, especially for the pre 90's cars. One guy was quoted something like $100 for a belt from his dealer - I think it was for a 308. He then went to a Fiat specialist and got the exact same part for $10 except for the fact it had Fiat on it instead of Ferrari. No wonder they can affort to spend so much money on F1!

The retail price that the insurance company is paying for a new factory Turbo rear wing on my car is over $7,000 - before painting. And, it's made of fiberglass.

Ken, good point about the Ferrari F1 budget!

$223.66??? The ones on the '95 were smaller than on later models. I bought a set for the later years in '98; $110.60 for both (Hoehn out in La-La Land)

Question

Graham,

You are very luck to have such a cheap OPC as AFN Chiswick want almost £400 for large ovals once you add VAT.

Cheers,

David

David, that was the price each! So that's around £400 for the pair, as you also were quoted.
