Default Fan belt sensor

Just an FYI:
my 20yr old fan sensor failed in the short state meaning it wouldn't have sensed the belt failing.

a quick clean and lube and it's working fine. Good design just needs to be cleaned occasionally.

Did the same thing (though I didn't need to with RS fan hub), but added tiny bolt/nylock nut on failure prone roller bearing.

Interesting preventative measure. Did you drill out the existing hub or is it a hollow rivet you just slipped the machine screw through?

Just a tiny machine screw, flat washers, nylock nut, slipped thru. Looks close in pic, but actually plenty of clearance. Figured if original bearing failed, I'd get some tell tale noise, before wheel fell off into abyss.
