Citra Gleam Metal Cleaner
I'd sure like to find something that could clean those tips up in under a minute...

I just used Metaseul (polish paste) , It took a couple of minutes with the help of steel wool to get the original shine !!! Excellent product, And I didn't have to remove the tips!
Hope you can find the product in the US. It is made by Benckiser and is found in Belgium, Germany and the ME.

Happy ending to my little story. There is a place near here with car lifts and tools which you pay for by the hour ($11ph) - a great thing to have nearby!
One minute with the car on a lift and an angle grinder in hand (and protective gear on head) and I had the old bolt head off. It feels so good when you have the right tools! The bolt holding the other end of the exhaust was just as bad and has been replaced too.![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I'd still like to get hold of the cleaner which Q mentioned though!

I know this is a really old post I'm replying to, but if there's anyone out there looking to polish up their dirty, tarnished exhaust tips, try P21S Multi Surface Finish Restorer before doing the tip removal, polishing, grinding, etc.
My '96 (non-motorsound) looked as if the tips had never been cleaned since the car was new. About 10 minutes working on each tip with the P21S and a terry cotton towel and they look like brand new. No hard buffing or polishing required. I can post pictures if anyone's interested. Unfortunately I only have "after" pics.
