The difference is in the cut of the pattern, the complexity of the shape and the number of pieces in the kit. Marketing and price mark-up come into play as well.
Retail price, BTW, does not necessarily mean one brand is better than another.

For those having any adhesive problems...there is a tape called gaffer's tape...you can get it (now in colors) at art supply or photo supply stores. Same texture and tear qualities as duct tape, but leaves nothing behind. Photo guys use it to tape just about anything together, and obviously sticky crap on a camera could be nasty.
Skydivers even use it to tape up their camcorders in freefall so nothing comes off...they do 120-180 mph, so I figure it is good enough for the track. Well, at least me on my first time on the track. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

JPS,
I agree, been using Gaffer's Tape for a couple of years now and it IS the stuff to use! It's more expensive than plain Duct Tape, but well worth it considering I don't have to remove adhesive goo when I get home.

The front of my car has not suffered from a little track driving. I think it likes it.

Has anyone tried this "paint" that you put on your car, it's clear and after the track time, it just peels off.
Some art places have it (I haven't tried yet but was tipped by a friend who used it in his 993 and said it was good).
There was also a little ad in latest 911&Porsche world (I don't think it's the same stuff but similar anyway).

I haven't seen the paint but a car was using a gel designed for this purpose at a race last year. During the race it started raining and the gel found its way to the windshild and the wipers smeared it all over the glass.

I also have Xpel on my front bumper, hood, lights and fender wells.

While I don't have a 993, yet... But I was looking at both MagBras and Elephant Racings Track Skins. The Track Skins cover the entire hood and some of the kits come with extra pieces for the fenders. Another thought is that MagBra's are black or white (according to the website) and Track Skins come in a variety of colors. They have a silver/grey that looks pretty close to the Polar Silver of the 95 Cab I'm looking into.
I just use my Colgan Bra on my 944.
