Hello all -- my name is John, and I'm a third year at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, and a converted Porsche enthusiast!

I currently drive a 2003 BMW 540i M-Sport. It's a beast -- the suspension, wheels and trimmings of a M5, but with a more manageable for daily use M62 instead of a S62.



Today, though, while my dad's car was in the shop for some work, my mechanic (who is a close friend) lent me his 993 Targa as a loaner.



I've never had more fun in my life! I'm too poor to buy one now, but can't wait to be in the market one day. The email subscription for the classifieds is already on!

That's awesome. The 993 is just one of those cars that will do that to you. One of my other cars is a full size lifted diesel with 10K just in suspension, does four wheel burnouts etc, but the 993 is the car that puts the smile on my face.

At the end of the day, driving is driving, the car that puts the biggest smile wins. Just my 2 cents.
