The Evo article Optimo was referring to compared new cars in the GBP 15-30 range and threw in a used 993 and WRX P-1 as the ringers. In the end they concluded that the Mini was probably the best deal, and diplomatically stepsided a comparison with the "ringers." In a following issue, a reader specifically asked them to choose, inc. the ringers, and Evo admitted that at the end of the day, everyone would love to have a 993 on their driveway over the Mini.

As for posters, for awhile, I had the infamous "Justification for Higher Education" poster in my dorm room (http://www.art.com/asp/sp.asp?PD=10030522). Funny enough, they had a 928 instead of a 911. Very eighties, doncha think?

Of course, now that I have several degrees from two brand name universities, I'm still short a few cars, and instead mired in school loans! More revealing is that I've met a lot of well-to-do P-car owners who have been successful without brand name degrees. I must've taken a wrong turn somewhere...

But I digress. I think Fishey concludes it best.
