Default Does a standard 993 car cover fit a TT

I apologize if it's a stupid question, but with the tail I was worried that it wouldn't fit.

Realistically, you knew the answer before you posted. The question is, how well do you want it to "fit". I have a 996 cover, that goes over the blankets, that go over the "fitted" TT cover. Layer up to protect car.

Pretty sure it won't fit. Ignore Quad it is his MO but over time you realize he is not so bad.

I mean, consider me a dick, but you had to know the 8 to 12" of additional height over the rear fenders will likely be an issue for a form fitted cover.

Couldn't have just said that initial?

He could, but he has a reputation to uphold

I think whether it fits or not depends on the material it is made from.

For instance, I have a Griot's cover (made by Covercraft I believe) which came along with one of my cars. It is made from a stretchy material and fits the tt quite well!

The covers Gert sells seem to be of the same type material.

The original ones Porsche sold back in 1997 were a silver type material which had elastic corners but do not stretch well, they are more form fitted.

That being said, I did not purchase the Griot's cover originally, so I cannot be certain how it was spec'd out initially.

Regards,

.

Bluntly, this is the internet and you cant let yourself get offended by people online so easily. To OP the question wasnt stupid because he didnt know the answer (maybe he should have, who knows). Op has been on RL for 2 months so obviously Quad should know more than him. Either way, Quad gives out good advice in the threads I've seen.

It's a 993 Turbo. It deserves the finest cover money can buy.
