Smile My vote...

Bridgestone Porenza Pole Position SO4 tires..they are quiet and dirt cheap at the Tire Rack. They will work in the rain too. I have a set and I love them.

Default Porsche "approved"

Is there statistical or data-driven validity to Porsche "approved" tires, any more than perhaps Porsche approving an item like exterior paint polish?
Does VW Group have economic gain in doing specific tire approvals?
There are other brands and models not on the sacred list that function great, even better.

The S04 tires are excellent when I used on street with Pss10s which probably contributed to excellent dry grip

RE11's should be excellent too, I have a set of those coming from tire rack for a new set of wheels I just received.

Edited
Drove same car and same set up as with S04 tires. The only difference was the RE 11 was driven using lightweight wheels. Don't know if that makes a difference or not.
RE 11 seemed to be stiffer and give a little rougher ride, they turn faster and stop quicker

I would say the performance of the s04's are excellent but just a notch below the re 11's

The ride as comfort goes to the S04

Cannot comment on wet weather performance or noise levels

why are you only interested/considering Bridgestone? while the 71R seems to be a killer tire in terms of all out performance, but there are many alternatives that can also provide what you're looking for. michelin, dunlop, yoko, etc.
