Robert,

Gorgeous garage and 356!

Is that a Beck 550 spyder in your first pic? Have you had good luck with its build quality? I've been lusting for one for a couple of years now.

Thanks!

Anir...Yes the 550 is a Beck that belongs to a friend. We had our PCA bunch over for a BBQ and it began to rain so we put the 550 in out of the weather. There were about 22 P-cars in the driveway and down the sreet!

Anir,
Dallas has a 'rita for you too if you ever make it out this way. Beautiful paintings! His work is truly amazing. Mine's just a print that I picked up in Monterey a couple of years back.

Robert,
Exactly, you can have a nice garage & still work in it. Like I said earlier, I did my engine swap down at the hangar but I do use the garage for more mundane stuff like oil changes, brakes, suspension work, corner balancing, etc. Is that Fuchs half hanging on your wall a clock? Very cool garage & beautiful 356! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />

Jay,

I'll try to take you up on that rita too someday.

Robert,

Just noticed that you've even decorated your ceiling! Very cool. Even my wife thinks you've got a great garage.

Looking at some of these great garages I think I need a "jealous" instant graemlin!

Best to all.

Thanks Guys!

JW....Yes that is a genuine Fuchs wheel cut in half and made into a clock. There is or was a guy that works at Pelican Parts that would take a damaged wheel and make a clock out of it.

Anir ...Those are unopened mint condition plastic Porsche model kits on the ceiling. Somewhere around 140 I think. I build one at a time when I get the motivation! I used to build Porsche models for a living, and worked for Jerry Seinfeld for a couple of years building models of his collection.
You might also notice in the Garage pic with the Beck in it, on the lower left of the pic is a 917 12 cylinder engine case that ran in the L&M car at LeMans. This was a Valentine Day present from my wife!

Great stuff guys.

Robert, I cant see the Beck 550, but I do see a 1/5 scale (or close) 956 on the fridge, what is that?

BTW - I dove hunt every labor day in Hot Springs. Know George Callahan, an attorney? His son Pierson, aka Zeke, was my best man. I hateto invite myself, or ourselves, but me and the boys would love a tour of your garage and models some labor day. I won't make it this year as my baby will only be a few weks old, but I don't miss many.

Cheers,

E. J.

EJ....
The pic with the 550 is on page 1 of this thread.
The 1/5th scale 956 was a promo used in a liquor store above a Lowenbrau display. It's personally signed by Al Holbert on the top since this was one of the cars he campaigned!
You and your friends are more than welcome whenever you are in town!

That garage is currently being gutted......walls, cabinets and lighting all being redone. Some of the cabinets and equipment is still available for sale. SD

JW,

Did you apply the Hard Deck floor coating yourself? I have been searching for a coating for my garage and this is very interesting.

damn you guys make my garage look like a crappy ole shack... oh wait, it IS a crappy shack. I want to build a garage onto my house but with the '3 ft from the property line' rule here the best I could do with my limited property is MAYBE a 2 car tandem with some room for motorcycles :/

nice garages you all! I like the checkered floors.
