Not what I'm talking about.
Let me clarify-The hinge that is connected to the rear of the lid that is riveted to the door card. Need to reattach that part. And I have searched to no avail, ah thank you.
As I recall you need to remove the pocket first and that gives you access to the screw holding the door latch side hinge to the door. Maybe 6-8 screws around the pocket, one inside the pocket threaded into the handle and one threaded into the plastic hinge. I believe the hinge on the door hinge side is simply a pin inserted into the handle. No riveting on my car. The 993's door and pocket is pretty much identical to earlier cars. Cheers

Neither of my cars, an 85 and a 96 have rivets through the card....looks like you're going to have to take everything off to get to the back of the card. Are they rivets or inserts to accept screws?

Rivets, the parts diagram shows rivets also. I'm thinking a screw with a larger washer from the back side of the card to a nut small enough to fit in the hinge.
Hopefully there is no steel backing where the nut a washer sits. If there is, since it seems the card has to come off, with rivets and hinge in place use some penetrating epoxy to reinforce the holes in the card and bond the rivet to the card. You could even back it up with a thin piece of steel ( such as flashing) which would be epoxied to the back of the card and drilled to allow the rivet through. Make sure the hinge is in exactly the right place LOL. Cheers

The build up of epoxy wound provide the bite. Make sure the hinge is in exactly the right place LOL. Cheers
