I know that this has been discussed before but I can't seem to find the post.
I want to replace my black seatbelts with red ones but unfortunately I don't know how to do this. There used to be a link with pics of this .
Any help would be greatly appreciated. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />
You don't know how to replace it or where to find a red one ? Can't help you with locating a red one, but replacing belts is easy. At least it was in an 80s 911, but I don't think it has changed... You just unbolt the seat belt attachment point, unscrew the rear panel, unbolt the seat belt "roller" mechanism located at the bottom, and bolt in a replacement (purchased from Vertex at the time for $85 or so if memory serves)... Thread it thru, and reinstall the panel. It really is/was a piece of cake.
Thanks Greg. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />
I will receive the red ones tomorrow (ordered them today). From what you are saying it sounds like a straight forward DIY job.
If anyone's looking for an extra set of seat belts, I have a set of front belts for a 993 in Yellow - they were in my car less than 2 months and I'm going to be selling them shortly.
