Here's a test that was done by the Duramax Diesel group. The Nissan folks discovered it.

It will also demonstrate why so little testing is actually done by consumers. It costs a lot of money to run really good tests.

I have found slight gains in performance.
I guess it all depends on how one quantifies slight and performance?

...or what your definition of is, is.

Rich, I had read the same test a few yrs back. I still get a kick outta seeing K&N crap baskets on cars.

Same here running an engine on the dyno with Webers and a paper air filter versus no filter at all and saw no difference.

To me the stock 993 has a well designed air filtration system that probably can't be improved on except maybe to make more noise...and thus the perception of more power.
