Default Silly Wheel Off-Set Question

I've always had trouble figuring out off-set and clearance stuff.

I'm considering some 17" Cup III wheels that are
Fronts 17x7.5 ET 52 with 205/50R17 tires
Rears 17x8 ET 47 with Pirelli 255/40R17 tires

Do the wheel sizes and off-sets work for a narrow body 993? Do I need to buy spacers?

Thanks

The front will work ok. Are you sure the rear is 8" not 9"? If it is 8", you'll need a small spacer approx. 10mm to push the wheels out a little bit.

I think so -- this is the set I am looking at (which are local to me). https://rennlist.com/forums/parts-ma...and-tires.html

My other option I suppose is new from Tire Rack:
17x7.5ET52 with 205/50/R17
17x8.5ET47 or ET45 with 255/40/R17

The fronts are fine, the outer edge of the wheel will sit ~4mm more outboard than oe 7ET55 w/ oe 5mm spacer

the back will need a 4.7mm spacer to fit like an oe 9ET55

the other issue is I've neve seen a 255/40 x17 that is a recommended fot on an 8. The widest tire recommended for an 8 is a 245.

lastly the narrowest wheels i'd want on a 993 are 7 & 9, you really want 8 & 10.

The rears are clearly marked as 9"....so these wheels would do the job.

you have better eyes than I do

if they are 9ET47 Than they sit out a bit more than an oe 9 about like a 10ET60. This will be fine w/o spacers or mods.
