When I flew down to San Francisco and picked up my previous 993TT, it had a K-40 built into it. I also brought along my V1.

It became very apparent on the trip home that the K-40 was no more than a squawking toy. Just about every time we passed a shopping center on the freeway, the K-40 would start making noises. By the time I got home (10 hours later) the K-40 was switched off. With real bogeys, the V1 had much better sensitivity.

With the V1's displays showing both direction and the number of bogeys, it's no contest.

After having both in the car for about a month, I ended up taking the K-40 out of the car and throwing it in the trash can.

Rick, thanks. good data point. I got to admit though its
pretty impressive sounding in the Hi Fi system.

Noony I am really worried about my drive way
its like straight up. When all the excitment dies
down I will start focusing on the mods.

OG,

Mod #1: New driveway
Mod #2: Front Protection Bar
Mod #3: lower the car. Maybe PSS-9?
Mod #4: spare DME Relay

The fun (and slippery slope) has just begun.

OG

Congrats, stunning car!

Relax about the mods, though! Drive it for a while, get a good service from a reputable shop if the 15k or 30k service has not been done, need for an alignment seems pretty common, and make sure the rubber is good. Then drive it for a while before you do anything major to it.

I would second the rec for Gert's FPB, and I got some bumperplugs, too. I'm holding off on the suspension for a bit.

Get some Zaino, make it perty, and check on it every night.
