Also, does anyone know if the 965 17" wheels would fit? I've found some on craigslist locally for a pretty decent price.

Factory 996tt wheels wont fit. Hartmann makes replicas that would fit but they are just as heavy as your Rufs so wouldn't be any improvement there.

Enzo, I'll be installing my hollow spokes soon and will most likely be selling my existing OEM 18" twists. Parts numbers below and they fit great and have proper offset.
993.362.134.06 et 50. 7.5 x 18
993.362.140.04 et 65. 10 x 18

Your wheels are not proper 993 wheels , yours are 996 wheels .
The proper 993 wheels have to be 8" on fronts and not 7.5

Hey Rudy, I may be wrong but I thought 7.5 on the front were standard fitment for NB 993's and only WB came with 8" front. Mike

Rudy, you are correct, although it is my understanding they work fine and have the correct offset.

Yes sir they will work fine but the front wheel will not look right , it will be too tucked in , also the value is not the same as the set with the 8" front , you can just add a 5 mm spacer in the front and they will become 8"
