Question Anyone has a CR-1 head unit they want to get rid of?

After getting an aftermarket Alpine changer, thinking the original was bad, I now think that the headunit itself might be screwed up. Even after hooking everything up, I can't seem to get the headunit to recognize the changer. There's no juice too so I can't get the magazine to eject which makes me think that there's a problem on the headunit end.

I don't want to get an aftermarket head unit since:
a) More $ for something I don't use as much
b) Hassle with wiring, etc.
c) I don't have to worry about theft with the CR-1
d) Who needs a decent sound system when you've got a flat six singing through a pair of RSRs?

If you have one that you would like to get of for cheap, please PM me. As you can see, I'm a Rennlist member so perhaps I can get a Rennlist discount!

I have the stock cassette head unit that came in my '98 C4S. My car came with the bare bones stereo equipment so I dont think its anything special.

I don't believe your CR-210 will interface with Rezal's Alpine CD changer. It'll only work w/Becker or Sony (w/a PROM replacement) changers.

Yes, unfortunately Dan is right.

The CR-1 was factory OEM radio in the 964 and early build '95 993s. I think even the late build '95s (the ones without the basket handle) have the Becker unit.

Here's what the unit looks like (courtesy of grouchy):

Not much to look at which is a good deterrence for theft.
