Post Clean the Cover

I have been cleaning the care cover in our house washing machine. My wife has given me a distinctive "NO". She is correct because there was some damage due to weight and, in some cases, excessive dirt. What is the alternative for a wash and dry? Thank you.

Do you have a swimming pool? Not being funny, but that's what I use for large items where only dust is involved. Otherwise, perhaps a commercial laundry with a larger machine.

I use the large tumble washers and some woolite, no need to dry.
