The Guilt was Killing Me (longish)
Thanks to all for your help over the past seven months. I don't remember how I ever found this board but I sure am glad I did. I could not have become an informed buyer if not for the members and posters (more on this in a sec) on this board. Words cannot express the respect I have for you and the graditude I feel towards you all. You are doing a great thing here.
I felt that the best way for me to express my graditude was to purchase a two year membership. I had wanted to wait until I could post some pics of my new pride and joy for all to see BUT THE GUILT OF NOT BEING A MEMBER WAS KILLING ME.
I have benifited greatly for the wisdom and experience of the "senior" and "guru" members as well as other "new-bees" and "users" like myself. I will make every effort to give somthing back through my posts and my continued membership.
But I wanted to tip my hat to all of you the best way I could think of - by buying a membership in celebration of my purchase of my new (to me) '97 993 cabriolet - Ocean Metalic Blue/Grey Leather/Grey top, 18" Technology Chrome with Pilot Sport tires. :
Thanks again - Rennlist! <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

Just as a second (or third) to the opinion above, I don't know why I was chicken to post until I purchased a Porsche, but this site has been absolutely invaluable to me in the last 9-12 months as I have narrowed by search, gone through several near deals, and finally purchased.
I have several friends here in Tyler, TX that are more "casual" Porsche owners, but it is this list that made me realize I really did want the 993, that I would be disappointed with the Tiptronic, that while there were issues to consider, I could do kids in the backseat every once in a while, etc.
This list is a true community. It is funny how you start to integrate different people into your life. I have read the posts daily and you feel like you get to know people and their perspectives pretty well.
Thanks again,
Mike Austin
