Keep in mind that early 996s and Boxsters could be had with optional 993 part numbered hollow spokes. 993 Hollow spokes are not necessarily rare. What is rare are the 8" wide fronts. The 996 and Boxsters could be had with 7.5" fronts where as the 993 came with 8" fronts. 7.5" fronts are plentiful because many 996/Boxsters came with hollow spokes. The 996/Boxster rears carried 2 different part numbers depending on what barrel, 9" or 10", they were mated to. You can tell if hollow spokes came from a 996 or Boxster if they have two part numbers listed on the spokes.

I'm really confused. In reading the factory part listing for 993 Turbo and Turbo Look wheels lists the rear offset as ET65. Do ET45 wheels really fit the WB cars??

ET65 must be for narrow body cars. The rear wheel offset for WB is ET40mm, and yes, of course they fit The ET45mm is the offset of the 996 11" rears - which also fit a WB 993.

Ok, thanks. This sheet from the Porsche manual seems to mostly list the ET65 for the WB models so it confused me.

Strange indeed. Looks like an error on the spec sheet.

My C4S has the Turbo Look (ie NOT hollow spoke) 18x10et40 rears. They have the part number shown next to the 18x10et65 wheel, but that part number definitely corresponds to the et40 version.

What size tires do folks use for 996TT hollow spokes on a 993TT?

Do you go +1 on the fronts to 235 and 295's in the back?
