Post fan staying on

I own a 993 which was badly fire damaged and after months of work i have it running for the first time the only problem is when i switch the ignition on the fans front and back come on.
The front fan goes off when i turn off the car
but the back fan stays on for a long time at least 20 mins.
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this problem? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

I have no idea of the answer but am bumping this as IMHO anyone who wants a 993 badly enough to spend months rebuilding one deserves help.
Hopefully someone can point him in the right direction.

Tim.

My '95 had the same symptons. Front oil cooler blower would run continuously when the engine was running and the aux engine blower would run for 20 minutes after you turn off the engine (even if it was still cold). I had one additional problem. The AC compressor clutch would not engage when I turned the AC on. My problems were caused by a PCB failure in the CCU (climate control unit). The CCU plays a lot larger role than keeping the inside of the car comfortable. It also keeps the engine comfortable and has a failsafe mode. When the CCU dies it assumes the worst and runs the oil cooler blower when the car is running and cools the engine when it's turned off.

I replaced the CCU with a used one and my problems went away. Robin looked at my old CCU and found and repaired the problem. I haven't tested his repair yet but if you're interested in testing it (assuming the part #'s agree) drop me an e-mail.
