Default Where to go for PPI in Bay Area?

I have a buddy of mine looking at a '94 3.6 Turbo in Pleasanton, CA (or Pleasantown?, may not have the spelling correct). Apparently it is near San Francisco.

Does anyone know of a good independent shop to do a PPI?

Thanks.

Evan.

Evan,

Pleasanton is kind of "just over the hill" East of the Silicon Valley. Closer to Livermore and Dublin then, say, to San Jose or San Fran.

Attached is a link to the PCA Golden Gate Region's list of local mechanics. I notice one shop in Dublin. No experience with them, but they would be the closest to the car you are looking at.

Evan,

I work in Pleasanton and was a previous owner of a 3.6 T. I would be glad to take a look at the car.

Kahler's is in the list and is in Pleasanton. He has a good reputation in the East Bay. He did my PPI on my 95 993 and was very accurate on the state of the car. Have had service since and they didnt find anything new.

My mechanic is John Mahoney at Valhalla which is in Lafayette....about 15-20 mins from Pleasanton. He is a meticulous guy who would find fault with a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model. His number is 925-284-2844.
