The car is now at the panel shop getting the flares put on and the interior painted. The guards have been cut and you can see where the flares are going to fit.
JuhaG, you can see the original steel sill now that the fibreglass one's have been removed.

Another photo from the front. The air conditioning condenser under the left guard and all the piping is all going.

Jackal, I have loved reading your Web site it is very informative and it is one of the reasons why I used Xylene to clean up the glue.
As I mentioned earlier the motor will remain at 3.6lt but it will be modified. I am not building an exact RSR replica because I want to be able to drive it on the road, it will be more like an RSCS but with RSR flares.
I noticed in some of the older posts regarding why Australian RSCS's were not delivered with roll cages. The reason they were delivered that way was because you could not register them for road use with the cage in them. Those who wanted to race them put their own cages in.
From memory about 37 RS's came to Australia. Approximately 13 were RSCS's and the balance were Tourers.

Superb, that will be a lot of fun. Love the big arches. Subscribed.

I had a great year in mine, two big road trips and 2 days at the ring. Will be retiring her for next year. Very tempted to take my engine to RSR spec which would be quite cost effectively done. We'll see. She's a rapid little thing as is now though .... went toe to toe with my friends 500bhp Scuderia for thousands of miles this year.

Great progress. You might want to consider pulling the door sills off while you're at it. Some great aftermarket stainless sills available as posted in this Forum.

Will you be keeping the front suspension in its original location or bringing it out (widening the track) to the "race car position"?

Yes, the front suspension will be moved out. I already have two 30mm spaces made to hold the brake booster plus two extensions for the tie rods and two made for the sway bar.
