Default Still looking for some exhaust tips...

I have been scouring ebay several times a day for a month looking for some used widebody aftermarket tips (preferably ovals). Admittedly, I am cheap and don't want to spring for the new tips from Gert.

Does anyone have some tips they want to sell? My RSR's just aren't the same without some cool tips

I noticed that the original Tequipment parts are chrome plated:

Yet I have seen stainless steel tips advertised elsewhere as superior to the chrome plated items because they won't peel off like chrome. Which is the better finish for long term appearance? Do the chrome ones really start to flake after a few years?

Oh, and I'm in the market for some tips too

I have the standard tips which I had polished. Big difference. Don't know much about chroming, but polished tips are easy to keep looking "fresh". You'll never have to worry about flaking, just occasionally use a metal polishing compound to detail them (such as Mothers, Meguiars, etc.). I took my stock tips to a local shop (who also does it for the local Dealer) and it only cost $100. Good ROI.
