100 Grand Blitz wax is one of my favorites. Super easy to apply and buff off and give a good shine and is not that expensive.

I have been using the 3M Perfect-It product on my Ocean Blue Metallic (the opposite of Polar Silver) with a random orbital with good results. Have been contemplating Z but the above post has me thinking twice as mine is a daily driver garaged at home and covered at work.

Can't speak for Z, but I used Klasse AIO followed by 3 coats of Klasse SG for an acrylic protective layer on an artic silver cab and have used S100 wax(found at any H-D dealer)on top of that. The carnuaba wax doesn't last very long but the combined effect is stunning. Car looks as good or better than showroom. I also use a carnuaba based QD in between washes which does give substantial longeviety and makes washing almost unnecessary. I do however live in So Cal and the car has yet to see rain.

Hi David - as you already use Autoglym, are you also using the A'glym Extra Gloss on top of the resin polish - I tried it on my Zenith Blue, and it really added depth to the shine, promises to protect a bit in winter, too. Also not in the megabuck range and available here in Blighty.

I tried the basic Zymol from Halfords. Needs a bit of elbow grease though.

The next polish I want to buy should be easier on the arms. So I might have to try Zaino. I hear its really elbow friendly.

Hi Maurice,

I have used the extra gloss with very good results and it does make the car feel silky smooth and add shine. However, I have seen some pictures of cars (I'm especially thinking of last month's 911 mag (not 911 World, the other one whose name I cannot remember) and this 993 had the most amazing shine ever - very deep looking. Mine looks pretty good compared to a lot of cars but it is nowhere near that car!
