Tx for the link...wonder what the specs were on the '98 993 that didn't sell...seems odd when the market is nuts about anything air-cooled...

This car is the true, worthy successor to the Porsche 964 with noticeable styling and technical novelties. The Porsche 993 is the grand slam of the 911 models built between 1993 and 1998. These Porsches are widely considered the most advanced and the last of the “true 911’s”, since the 993 would be the last air-cooled Porsche produced. A few of the exterior design changes were noticed on the front and rear bumpers which flowed much smoother with the 911’s lines, along with the front fenders lights and the lights in the rear bumper were changed.

The Porsche 993 is the peak in the evolutionary progression of the original 1964 911 design. Examples of this are the five-bezel instrument panel, horizontally-opposed six-cylinder engine behind the operator and floor-mounted pedals that gave the driver the sensation of the original 911 in every sense.

Porsche made many different variants of the 993; however the Carrera 2S is very distinct for many reasons and is considered one of the most sought after 993s. One of the contributing factors is they are extremely rare, since they were only produced from 1997 to 1998. The ‘S’ variant meant that it shared the same factory “Wide-Body” as the Turbo variant. Both the Turbo and 4S are all-wheel-drive, while the 2S is rear-wheel drive, which is actually preferred and enjoyed more by Porsche drivers. Another positive in that is the maintenance costs is much less than that of a Turbo.

This Porsche Carrera 2S is fitted with numerous options and presented in a most desirable A8 special order Polar Silver Metallic paint, ($2,995). The exterior is also fitted with 18-inch wheels with technology rims ($1,785), and an exclusive option, Aerokit front and rear Turbo II spoilers ($7,047). Complementing the exterior is an optional Boxster Red special leather interior ($4,690), full-power driver’s seat and an AM/FM radio, CD player with the HiFi sound package, speakers ($1,577) and the Motor Sound package.

Powering this 993 is a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter, 282-hp flat six-cylinder engine married to a tremendously desirable six-speed manual transmission. The car only has 38,010 miles on the odometer and is tailored with power steering, brakes and windows plus air conditioning. Included with the car is the original window sticker, books, toolkit, spare tire, air compressor and an authentic indoor Porsche 993 Turbo car cover.

This car has been a California car all of its life since it was sold by Rusnak Westlake Porsche to Dr. Christopher R. Frier, who resided in Thousand Oaks, California. Dr. Frier purchased the car new on October 26, 1997. During his ownership, the car is said to only have been serviced by Rusnak Westlake. The second owner acquired this car in 2013, and on April 14, 2015 had the car serviced at Entirely Exotic Motorsports. This service included a new spark plug wire set, new rear tires, alignment, oil and filter change and many other services that totaled about $3,800.

The Porsche offered here is said to have been always garaged and well-cared-for, and receipts and documentation included with the car will show the diligence that the owners have had with this special 993. The Carrera 2S is the ultimate choice when considering a 993, but with limited 1,752 U.S. versions produced, many owners hold onto them so they are rarely seen for sale. Limited ownership, countless special factory options, clean slate with no accidents and increasing collectability make this a one-of-a-kind Porsche most worthy of your attention.

All the right boxes were checked when this 911 Twin Turbo Coupe was purchased. It comes with power steering, power brakes, power windows, air conditioning and a CD radio. The proper amenities are ideal when driving this high performance sports car that has luxury-type appointments. The 1996 model was the last of the air-cooled Porsche 911’s. This particular two-door Coupe has a lavish black paint job with a matching black interior.

The 3.6-liter horizontally-opposed six-cylinder twin-turbocharged engine produces a powerful 408-hp. This powerplant is conjoined with a strong six-speed manual transmission and four-wheel-drive with a visco-clutch. It is equipped with a wide rear wing and side skirts for improved aerodynamics at high speeds.

Porsche is known for its world-class racing achievements and this production model allows the owner to experience the technologies and learning they have been applying for many years. The sound of the rumbling exhaust to the feel of the tight performance steering; every time you drive one it is a new thrilling experience. The pull of that 408-hp engine is incomparable to that of many other production vehicles.

The ventilated front and rear disc brakes allow you to bring all that power to a safe stop. The front suspension is fastened by MacPherson struts with coil springs for a performance feel. Everyone enjoys watching a Porsche storm on by, but only one person can be driving to experience the thrill of the power a 911 Twin Turbo Coupe.

This vehicle has the classic Porsche look, which we all know and love. The 911 is one of the most desired models of the Porsche series. It is easy to see why with its sweeping bodylines and stylish interior. This car is waiting to move to a new owner who will enjoy working it as it was designed to perform.

The turbo had paintwork on the front end and maybe the whole car. ZERO rock chips on a 20 year old car with 50k miles. Uhhhhh yeah
