Default Rear Window Install Recommendations - San Diego/Orange County

I was wondering if the collective group has a recommendation for a glass installer for a new rear window in preferably San Diego but Orange County would work as well?

The the plastic channel that holds the weather stripping down has broken in both the lower right and left corners of my window (the entire 3-4 inch section) and I believe my only recourse is to have a new window installed.

Thank you for your help

This is a common 993 issue and I would go another route before doing a rear ws replacement. If you do a search on the topic of "rear windshield trim seal" or on my name and posts there are many threads.

The short answer to your question is that there are almost no ws shops that have any experience with replacing the rear 993 ws and it is not a simple job to do correctly. It is a Pandora's box to be avoided unless the ws is broken or you have rust so bad that the ws has to come out to get at this issue.

The good news that with a new trim seal and some patience and finesse you can fix this cosmetic issue. Do the search and give me a call - I can pull my file on this issue and walk you through it when I'm at my office. 315-246-2173.

Forgot to say you're a lucky dog to live in SD. Some friends there on Coronado Is and I love the area and the people. Many cycling trips there in Alpine, Temecula, Fallbrook......but crazy drivers if you're on a bicycle!!

I had a front glass done by these folks and they knew exactly what they were doing with a 993. A 5 star Yelp review to backup up what I personally experienced. Cut/paste from Yelp:
Citywide Auto Glass

Ste 110
San Diego, CA 92123
at Chesapeake Dr
Kearny Mesa
