Default Where do you buy brake parts?

I'm planning on replacing pads, rotors and sensors soon. Has anyone found a source for the OEM parts that stands out for cost?

Scott,
I've only purchased pads, rotors, sensors & spiders from Sunset. Still on the same stuff I installed in 2006 or so.

I've been very happy with Sonnen Porsche over the years. They are usually slightly cheaper then Sunset. Both are great places to deal with.

I don't recommend Sonnen. Use Sunset. Always a great experience with them.
Can't say that for Sonnen.

I use Centric Posi-Quiet on my 991 and like them. No noise, very low dust, good stopping.

They sell them for $38 for the fronts and they are very responsive as a vendor.

Posi-Quiet Ceramic w/Shims
Posi Quiet brake pads are manufactured using the same positive molding process utilized by Original Equipment suppliers. Positive molding uses extreme pressure to compress the friction material and bond it to the backing plate. This process assures consistent friction material density throughout the pad, resulting in even wear and performance characteristics throughout the life of the brake pad.
Posi-Quiet Ceramic
Longest wearing most advanced material available
Lowest dust
Stable friction performance across wide temperature range
Shims included

Pad set $161.11

Sensors $13.95 each (2)

Caliper mount bolts $2.71 each (4)

Vibration dampers $5.16 each (2 sizes for 4 each, total 8)

Rotor screws $0.26 each (8)

Rear brakes:

Rotors $126.99 each

Pad set $111.49

Sensors $14.20 each (2)

Caliper mount bolts $2.48 each (4)

Vibration dampers - 4 at $5.16 each and 4 at $9.65 each

sonnen is usually cheaper than Sunset by a few bucks, but make sure to get your quote with shipping included, as that can be a significant amount with heavy parts like brakes.

Fyi...i installed new front pads without spiders and i have zero squeal. Porsche pads and rotors. i did a bit of bedding in of the new pads. Also, if you don't let sensors to be destroyed you can re-use them.

I find it a bit funny that these pos looking sensors cost 13-20 bux and you need 4 of then, when new aftermarket ones on my benz cost $1.50 and even mb ones are 7.50.

Are these prices of OE Porsche parts? Or aftermarket?

Thanks everyone for the input. I've used Pelican quite a bit for convenience, but usually find them to be more expense, and so use Sunset for bigger ticket items, but I wanted to be sure I wasn't missing a better alternative. I wasn't planning on replacing the dampers. I was looking at OEM to reduce the possibility of squeal, but the reduced dust on the ceramics is compelling. Anyone else using them?

Would you re-glue dumpers/spyders to new pads? Or you mean just tossing them?

Aftermarket pads may help with dust, but they may squeal, the bite might not be the same etc. From what I read, oe pads is the way to go, unless you need track pads.
