Question 996 mounted hre's..will it fit my 993?

Hi guys...as some of you may have seen, Chris, a member from the 996forum, has a set of HRE540r for sale. He has it mounted on his 996 turbo, and he is now selling the wheels at a great deal, $3500. (posted on the Classified section). This is a great deal, if I should say so myself.

I have emailed him on few occasions, but I am in doubt if they would fit on my phatbut, 98 C2S. Anyone know for sure? I'd like to grab these if they would fit PERFECTLY.

It all depends on the size and offset. Do you have that info?

If it is off of a 996TT, it will fit. I bought my 540R's from a 996TT rennlister and they fit perfectly on my 993 C4S.

adscab...I too agree that it will fit, but just to make sure, I have asked to provide me the offset. I will let you know what they are we can compare it to yours.

adscab...also would you happen to have a side view pic of your car. This view does not give the car it's justice.

Hey Jerry, it is Big Bear Lake in the San Bernardino Mountains. It was during the Pelican Big Bear III drive this past summer.

Phatbut, I will post additional pics.

The offsets are very close to the OEM so there shouldn't be a problem. However, the only way to be sure is to try them on. You also have to take into consideration the size and brand of the tires.

I would love to try them on, adsc4s. Unfortunately, the seller, a rennlist member, lives in hawaii.

I really want to be confident that I will have no problems. I was hoping that someone had the same offset? This is a great deal.

The tires are Contiental Contisport 2 235/35-19 front/ 295/30-19 rear.

Can someone please advise!

Romeo,

Call Wheel Enhancements in Los Angeles and tell them the specs. They are experts in Porsche wheel fitaments, and they're really nice folks.(310)836-8908.
BTW, the Kinesis wheels I just got from them have a 48mm et, both front and rear. The factory wheels are 52mm front and 40mm rear.
