My car makes a humming sound that sounds like an electric motor (sort of like a noisy electric clock) even when the car is turned off. It gets louder when I open the glovebox, but when I listen in the front trunk it's not as loud as inside the car. Any guesses what this is?
Thanks,

I posted the same question a few weeks back and was content with the answer. Just relieved that nothing was wrong.
However, after I thought about it, another question came to mind... why does the climate control need to monitor the car after it is turned off? Is there some function that it will control once it gets its readings? Just seems strange that it would monitor something if it isn't going to do anything with the information.
