• Adding Cup holders – Where are you going to put that HOT cup of coffee? One of the first upgrades I added to my 993 was a cup holder. I purchased it from an interior guy in the UK. It is something that can be easily home made if desired. Buy the plain between the seats console cup part# 964.552.159.00 then cut a cardboard cover for it in the shape of cup holes. Ideally I would use a piece of 4 ply rag mount board for this (cotton fiber base). Wrap the cardboard cover in vinyl or leather using 3M molding / weather strip adhesive, (black or yellow). Glue the finished piece to the top of the console cup. Then remove the cassette or CD holder in you car and mount the cup in its place. If you already have a console cup it can be un-mounted via the screw under the pad in its base and then it can be used to make this addition. Clearly this is a Kitchen table kind ‘a project.

I'm a member of the 991 forum, but just bought a 993. I'm wondering if anyone has come up with a good cup holder.
Thanks in advance.

***EDIT: Sorry for the repetition; just realized Jo-Hans beat me to it...!
Hey Chuck congrats on your 993!!!! Last year I picked up one of these cup holders and it has served me well (Pelican parts sells it)...I do carry around a shallow, square tupper-ware container that sits under the cup holder just in case of minor spillage. (Hasn't happened yet though).
It screws into your passenger's seat rail, so your bevy is really accessible on the other side of the stick shift.
Before I got this cup holder, I placed a full roll of duct tape on its side on the carpet and used the roll to hold my cups. Worked great too, just not very pretty...!
Least conspicuous, most expensive, least practical, is the leather one that converts the cassette tray to cup holder. Which puts ur coffee by ur elbow. You'll also need matching leather ebrake trim . quadcammer still owes me $200 for this.
I installed the one that converts the cassette tray as well, pricey but looks great and is practical with spots for 2 cups. Purchased from Pelican before the Cdn$ nosedive

please, don't even start. You know you rub that leather every time you get in the car. caress it even.
Starbucks tray wedged under the fire extinguisher in front of the passenger seat.
A truly American concern: the cup holder
Interesting how I would have to buy a fire extinguisher to enjoy my quad espresso, seems like the best deal though.....
BTW the cassette tray is for older cars newer ones have the iPhone tray like mine so not giving that up for a cup holder (maybe if it was CF I would consider)
a cheaper alternitive, useful, and out of the way...simple bicycle water bottle cage, a small 4 hole "L" bracket, and 1/4" hardware-short bolts, washers, nut's, lock washers. Bolt the bottle cage to the "L" bracket in two locations, notch the other side of the "L" bracket to fit inside the seat mounting slider. Attach by utilizing existing seat mounting hardware.
Note...does limit forward travel of the seat some.

No need for fire extinguisher, that method works without it, too.
I would like the cup holder between the seats, but I'm not paying 90 bucks for part that should costs 20-25 bucks. For 90 it better come with matching leather wrapped mugs with Porsche crests on them and a coffee machine.
