Default Dual Distributors

I rebuilt my engine this past winter and, after having a dyno on the car, I found I had a rotor one tooth off which caused a reduction in HP from the pre-rebuild dyno - at least I hope this was the issue as I have not made it back to the dyno again yet . Anyway, when I was going through everything to find why I was down on HP I also noticed that the upper distributor feeds the exhaust side and the bottom feeds the intake. This seems backwards to me and I checked my C2S and it is the other way around. I am having trouble finding a good schematic or description as to whether this matters since, as best as I can tell, they fire simultaneously - no delay between the two. I know I put this back the way it was before I dropped the motor as I have pictures showing this. Therefore, I can only assume that it has always been like this. Any one have any experience with this or comment?

Your wires are installed correctly. Per the excellent 2-19-15 plug wire replacement DIY by bruce7, the lower distributor feeds the upper (intake) plug and the upper distributor feeds the lower (exhaust) plugs:

Attached are the DIY instructions and here is the link to the photo album:

For some reason the links in my post don't work, but I extracted the following from the plug wire DYI:

NOTES on Marking and Numbering
a. Distributor caps have markings for cylinder numbers
b. Cylinders are numbered 1-3 on left, from back to front;
and 4-6 on right from back to front.
c. Spark plug wires are marked I-x and II-x where is x is from 1-6.
“I” refers to the upper spark plugs, “II” refers to the lower spark plugs.
d. The lower distributor cap is for the upper spark plugs (I) and the upper
distributor cap is for the lower spark plugs (II)
